Why Responsible Netism?

Rise in usage of technology and our interactions with it have surged vulnerabilities in cyber space like never before. Cyber-crimes against children and adults have broken records, online distress has hit all segments of society. Threats of cyber space hold neither economic, social, geographic boundaries nor barriers. Children are easily accessible to predators online, and hence vulnerable due to lack of information and awareness about online safety protocols. There is a tremendous divide between the “technology quotient” (TQ) of children and adults. Children navigate cyber space with ease and expertise, while adults are unprepared to adapt with technology. It is time we make peace with technology and learn its responsible usage.

The movement “Responsible Netism” aims at empowering people, young and old about online safety, thus promoting Responsible Online Behaviour and a cyber hygiene culture.

The team aspires to collectively make India cyber safe for children.
